My main purpose of visiting New York was to help my friend Huy, who was in production with his short, "Vacation." I call these my battle scars... |
Most of our locations during principal were at Fort Totten. This is where I earned the nickname "Jean On the Roof." It's funny that I only have these 2 stills, since most of my time in NY was spent on Huy's set (I was best electric). Really, I only had 3 days of sightseeing! During production, I was just getting up and going to work everyday. |

Taken with my cell phone, hence the crappierness of the resolution... |

Home of the Belmont Stakes. We shot there one day, and I had so much fun... Especially because I bet on one of the horses and won 15:1 (too bad I only put down $1, though). |

I remember reading a short story when I was younger that took place in Grand Central. It had to do with this guy who took a wrong turn down one of the corridors and ended up about 100 years in the past. It's the earliest memory that I can associate with Grand Central. If only I could remember the title of that story! |
|
One day of sightseeing consisted of going to Coney Island. Apparently, I was the first of Huy's friends that he took there, and I found out why. It's far! |
This is the closest I ever got to it. You can see the statue towards the left third of the picture. |

It was SOOO crowded there the day we went! Not only was it the beginning of summer, but it was also the day of the Puerto Rican Day Parade. |

Coney Island's famous ferris wheel |
This thing has both swinging and stationary carriages. Huy, his boyfriend Joe, and I got into one of the swinging ones. I thought I was going to go deaf from Huy's screaming. |
Unfortunately, I don't know which bridge this is. |

How funny is it that I took this picture? ... |
